Emcee Fee - The cost is $100 per hour, and per diem rates will apply if the event is held 50 miles or more from the location of Detailed Weddings & Events LLC.

Out-of-town Clients - Out-of-town clients, who cannot visit the office in person to meet, will need to provide a driver's license or state ID card, as well as a copy of their utility bill that shows an address that matches their driver's license or state ID card.​

Per Diem Rates:  Meals, Lodging & Incidentals for an Emcee - Per Diem Rates will apply if you are planning a wedding ceremony, reception or other event, and it is more than 50 miles or more away from Detailed Weddings & Events LLC and require the presence of an Emcee.  Per Diem Rates cover necessary overnight accommodation if the travel distance for the Emcee requires a travel distance of 50 miles or more.  If so, the client is required to pay the per diem rates. The per diem rates include:

• Meals: To cover breakfast, lunch, dinner, and any small food-related expenses.

• Lodging: The cost of the hotel or other overnight stay.

• Incidentals: Minor expenses like tips, transportation to/from the airport, parking, and other small costs incurred during travel.

To determine the per diem rates for an event’s location, follow these simple steps:

• Distance Check: First, use a tool like Google or Google Maps to calculate the distance between Sumter and the venue's city or zip code.

• 50-Mile Threshold: If the distance is 50 miles or greater, a per diem rate applies.

​​

• GSA Rate Lookup: Use the official GSA (General Services Administration) Per Diem Rates. You can also view these rates yourself using this link: [GSA Per Diem Rates].

• Search Your Venue: On the GSA site, you can search by using the venue's state, city, or zip code.

​​

• Identify the Rate: The search will show the specific per diem rates listed for the location, which will detail the costs for Lodging, Meals, and Incidentals

 

 

As an example, the GSA Standard Rates from Detailed Weddings & Events LLC to a venue in Blythewood, SC for the year 2025 will calculate as follows:

• ​Daily Lodging: $110 per night (if an overnight stay is required due to the distance, but if 3 nights or more are needed, add the total of each daily lodging cost).

 

• ​​Meals & Incidental Expenses (M&IE - for days in between the First and Last Day of Travel) = $68 for each full day and covers Breakfast - $16, Lunch - $19, Dinner - $28, and small incidentals - $5 for a total of $68.  

 

• First & Last Day of Travel includes 75% of  M&IE, which is $68 and 75% of $68 = $51 for the first and last day of travel.

 

• ​​A "full day" for GSA's M&IE refers to any day where you are not on the first or last day of travel, and therefore are entitled to the full M&IE rate for that location where you are traveling or lodging.

Understanding Travel Costs [Cents Per Mile] - Professionals will not charge their clients for any travel mileage fees.. Instead they will use a gas mileage log-book.  Here is a link to a mileage book if you are having trouble finding one for yourself:  Gas Mileage Book;   As independent contractors, we are responsible for our own transportation expenses, which include adhering to the IRS standard mileage rates for business travel.
